- The "RE" display indicates a LAPM receive error (the CRC on the frame
- was bad), not a retrain. This happens periodicly during a connection and also
- can happen immediately after a retrain or when a GSTN teardown is received.

- When your modem disconnects check the value in S86, this is the
- disconnect reason code. It gives some indication of why the connection was
- dropped. Look at ftp://ftp.supra.com/pub/flashers_current/v34/v34_list.txt
- for an explanation of the S86 values.
