  19.         The "RE" display indicates a LAPM receive error (the CRC on the frame 
  20. was bad), not a retrain.  This happens periodicly during a connection and also 
  21. can happen immediately after a retrain or when a GSTN teardown is received.
  22.  
  23.         When your modem disconnects check the value in S86, this is the 
  24. disconnect reason code.  It gives some indication of why the connection was 
  25. dropped.   Look at ftp://ftp.supra.com/pub/flashers_current/v34/v34_list.txt 
  26. for an explanation of the S86 values.
